QA Engineer (Automation)
We make every day count

Quality is not a phase. It’s a mindset.
And at FLOYT Mobility, it’s a critical part of how we build products people trust.
We’re a well-established e-commerce platform with more than 20 years of experience, powering millions of users. In recent years, we’ve expanded beyond the web into native Android and iOS apps, all running on a shared backend. That means complexity, scale, and a huge opportunity to do quality really well.
We’re now looking for a Senior QA Engineer (Automation) to help us evolve our web, API and mobile automation strategy. You’ll work side by side with developers to keep critical user journeys green, embed testing deeply into our CI/CD pipelines, and help the team ship confidently to production, release after release.
This is a hands-on, impact-driven role for someone who loves automation, cares deeply about reliability, and believes quality is a shared responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Web Automation
Contribute to and review Cypress tests to ensure parity across critical user flows.
Maintain and improve existing automation frameworks, focusing on speed, stability and long-term maintainability.
Propose pragmatic improvements that make testing easier to write, faster to run, and harder to break.
API & Contract Testing
Design and execute automated API tests to validate backend services.
Support contract testing between services (e.g. Pact or similar) to ensure integration stability.
Collaborate closely with backend engineers on schema validation, test data strategies and edge cases.
CI/CD & Quality Gates
Integrate automation test suites into GitLab CI/CD pipelines with clear quality gates.
Analyse and triage test failures, reduce flakiness, and continuously improve test reliability.
Help ensure automation is a true enabler of fast, safe releases, not a bottleneck.
Mobile Automation
Run release test cycles and BrowserStack App Automate testing on real devices.
Automate and stabilise business-critical mobile journeys: authentication, search, booking/checkout, payments, account flows, deep links and push notifications.
Ensure mobile-specific scenarios are properly covered and reliable.
Supporting Automated Testing Initiatives
Pair with developers to improve testability (IDs, contracts, mocks).
Help reproduce complex or tricky bugs through automation.
Keep documentation clear and practical: README files, examples, selector strategies, and “how to run locally & in CI”.
Share best practices through short knowledge-sharing sessions or brown-bags.
Fostering a Culture of Quality
Quality at FLOYT Mobility is a team sport!
You’ll actively educate and guide developers on the value of testing across the entire software development lifecycle.
You’ll help define which types of tests make sense in different scenarios and ensure they are used effectively.
You’ll participate in post-mortems, making sure test suites remain relevant, up to date and aligned with real production learnings.
Experience & Qualifications
3–5+ years of experience in QA with a strong automation background across web, API and mobile.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript; experience with WebdriverIO or similar runners.
Hands-on experience with Cypress and/or Playwright for web automation.
API testing experience using Postman, REST Assured, and contract testing approaches.
Solid CI/CD experience (GitLab, GitHub Actions or similar), including parallelisation, artefacts and caching.
Experience using BrowserStack App Automate on real devices.
Good understanding of mobile testing specifics: deep links, permissions, background/foreground transitions, throttled networks and app upgrades.
ISTQB certification.
